Seven Basic Emotions

I took a week to work on this study of the seven basic emotions. Surprisingly, the most challenging one was "joy"! I made three versions of it before I was happy with the result. Once I understood what makes a smile genuine vs fake, it was easy. Couldn't resist posting both versions of the "sad" emotion, I think they show a range of sentiment, which can't be captured with just one version. I am still not sure why "contempt" is included in the list of the basic seven; it's quite a complicated emotion in my opinion. Nonetheless, contempt is here too.
